How much does it cost to enter the i25?

What are the judges looking for?
Judges will be looking for outstanding examples of innovation or influence and impact made by individuals in the independent sector. There is no particular timeframe since some nominees may be being recognised for their work at several schools and over a long period of time. Please state if any initiative highlighted is sustainable and replicable.
Who can be nominated?
The awards are open to all current (non-commercial-supplier) individuals working in the independent sector. The judges’ decision on this qualification is final.
When is the closing date for entries?
Midnight, 18 October 2019.

How are the entries judged?
A panel of experts shortlist the 25, then the 25 vote live at the awards ceremony to choose the best of the best. Click on the tab Judges to see who they are.
All of the 25 will receive a pack three weeks before the event to familiarise themselves with the others on the shortlist so that they when they vote, they are armed with the necessary information.
When will I find out if my nominee has made the i25?
Shortlists will be published in Independent Insight magazine in January 2020, on social media and on this website.
When are the winners announced?
Announcement of the winners will be made at the gala ceremony at The Waldorf Hilton on 19 March 2020. There will be one overall winner and four joint finalists.
What happens on the night?
The evening begins with a drinks reception, then guests are called through to the dining area. After the main course, the 25 are taken to the drinks area where they vote for their top five from a list of the other 24. They then return to the main dining room as sweets and coffees are served. During this period the votes are collated.
Positions 2-5 are announced as joint finalists and are awarded trophies. Then the overall winner is announced, given a trophy by the headline sponsor and invited to make a short speech of thanks. Then all 25 are invited to the stage for a final photograph and to receive applause from the other guests.
How do I book tickets for the event?
Three complimentary tickets will be offered to each nominee eg for their partner and two senior representatives from the school such as head, bursar or chair of governors. Tickets are by invitation only.
How will I receive my ticket/s?
Guests' names will be on the reception desk; no ticket required.
What is the programme for the evening?
7.00pm: Drinks reception
9.00pm: the 25 cast their vote after the main course has been completed
9.50pm: Awards presentation begins
10.10pm: Awards presentation ends
What is the dress code for the evening?
The event is black tie/posh frocks.
When will the winners be announced for those who didn't attend?
The results will be published in the April 2020 edition of Independent Insight and shared widely with other relevant media and on social media.
